About the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre
Since its opening, The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre has become one of Dublin and Ireland’s most recent success stories. The theatre came about because of rising demand for a location to facilitate large-scale theatre productions in Dublin. An outstanding addition to Ireland’s theatre world, and designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre (formerly The Grand Canal Theatre) presents the best of national and international theatre, musicals, drama, opera, ballet, family shows and classical concerts.
Now over 500,000 visitors attend the Bord Gáis theatre every year. It has facilitated world-class acts such as “Wicked” the musical, “Billy Elliot” and everything else from the “Rocky Horror Show” to “Swan Lake” and “Sister Act”. There is a wide variety of productions to suit all tastes.
Tickets can be bought online or in-person at the Theatre Box Office up until 30 minutes before the show. If available, you will be able to purchase tickets on the evening of the show at the box office.
