The Irish Museum of Modern Art is located in the historic site of the old Royal Hospital Kilmainham and houses a great gallery space. Home to the national collection of modern and contemporary art with over 3,500 artworks on view. IMMA also hosts a number of events and temporary exhibitions throughout the year, meaning there is always something new to see when you attend the museum.
The beautiful grounds of the museum are also well worth a stroll through where you can enjoy the meadows and formal gardens. The grounds are steeped in history as the old Royal Hospital which was founded in 1684.
You can also view the artworks which are located within the gardens and are a nice surprise as you walk around.
IMMA is located just under 30 minutes away from the Spencer hotel, you can hop on the LUAS and this will leave you just a short walk from the museum.
